Whirlwind Tour of Warsaw

This will most likely be the shortest post of this trip.  We're at the Warsaw airport having just finished a whip-bim-bam, thank you ma'am tour of the city.  We have a 9 hour layover so we booked a 4-hour tour of the city.

We learned so much about Warsaw and about Poland.  And their history so much reminded me of what is going on in Ukraine right now.  But they were invaded and occupied by not only Russia, but Nazi Germany as well.  The city was pretty much leveled during WWII, however if you didn't know it, today you would think it went unharmed.

The Polish people have rebuilt the old town exactly as it was before the bombings.  They went from old photographs to recreate exact replicas.  The pictures you're going to see are all reconstructions.  If there was parts of the demolished buildings that were still standing, they kept them (including the bullet holes) as a reminder of history.

The pictures...

Next, we're off to Prague!
